About Our Apopka Veterinary Hospital!

Apopka veterinary care!

We originally opened our doors in 1994 in the Albertson’s Plaza at the corner of Piedmont Wekiwa Rd. and 436. To begin with, the hospital was manned by Dr. Burton and Teresa while Dr. Maureen was focused more on housecall care as well as her rescue work. Once Piedmont Animal Hospital gained more clientele, Dr. Maureen came on full time in the hospital. We moved into our current building in December of 2000 after outgrowing our storefront location. Dr. Burton wanted to allow his vision and dream for the hospital and needed a facility to match. As time goes on we continue to grow and expand on our capabilities and services that we offer. So of our specialized equipment includes a laser surgical unit, cold laser therapy unit, digital radiography, digital dental radiography and ultrasound. Outstanding services we can provide include specialized care within our facility when possible including offering services of a mobile board certified internist as well as a mobile board certified surgeon. Our facility boasts a boarding facility that will keep your furry friends happy as you are away from town.

Our mission is “Pet care by people who care” and you will feel that every time you visit Piedmont Animal Hospital. We freely discuss and offer a variety of care for your pets from the highest quality and will work with treatment plans to support health and assist you in making the best treatment decision possible for you and your pet.

We are like a big family and welcome you to become a part of it.
